Inter-Brain Hemodynamic Coherence Applied to Interoceptive Attentiveness in Hyperscanning: Why Social Framing Matters

چکیده
Grossberg’s classification of adaptive resonance mechanisms includes the cognitive-emotional resonances that support conscious feelings and recognition them. In this regard, a relevant question concerns processing signals deriving from internal body their contribution to interpersonal synchronization. This study aims assess hemodynamic inter-subject coherence in prefrontal cortex (PFC) through functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) hyperscan recording during dyadic synchronization tasks proposed with or without social frame performed two distinct interoceptive conditions: focus no on breathing condition. Individuals’ data (oxygenated de-oxygenated hemoglobin (O2Hb HHb, respectively)) were recorded fNIRS hyperscanning, analysis was performed. The findings showed significantly higher O2Hb left PFC when dyads compared Overall, evidence suggests presence favor manifestation tuning tasks.

Social Psychological Face Perception: Why Appearance Matters.
We form first impressions from faces despite warnings not to do so. Moreover, there is considerable agreement in our impressions, which carry significant social outcomes. Appearance matters because some facial qualities are so useful in guiding adaptive behavior that even a trace of those qualities can create an impression. Specifically, the qualities revealed by facial cues that characterize l...
متن کاملFrom social behaviour to brain synchronization: Review and perspectives in hyperscanning
Recently, the neuroscience field took a particular interest in the use of a neuroimaging technique called ‘hyperscanning’. This new technique consists in the simultaneous recording of the hemodynamic or neuroelectric activities of multiple subjects. Behind this small technical step lays a giant methodological leap. Groundbreaking insight in the understanding of social cognition shall be achieve...
متن کاملApplication level framing applied to image compression
Two well-known wavelet zerotree encoding algorithms, Embedded Zerotree Encoding (EZW) and Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT), provide excellent progressive display when images are transmitted over reliable networks. However, both algorithms are state-dependent and can perform poorly over unreliable networks. In this paper, we apply the concept of network-conscious image compression ...

"Plain question and plain answer make the shortest road out of most perplexities." Mark Twain-Life on the Mississippi. A new methodology for the measurement of the neural substrates of human social interaction is described. This technology, termed "Hyperscan," embodies both the hardware and the software necessary to link magnetic resonance scanners through the internet. Hyperscanning allows for...
