چکیده

The current literature on intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) focuses optimizing the IRS phase shifts to yield coherent beamforming gains, under assumption of perfect channel state information (CSI) individual IRS-assisted links, which is highly impractical. This work, instead, considers random rotations scheme at in elements only employ without requiring any CSI. CSI then needed base station (BS) overall implement transmission scheme. Under this framework, we derive sum-rate scaling laws large number users regime for multiple-input single-output (MISO) broadcast channel, with optimal dirty paper coding (DPC) and lower-complexity (RBF) deterministic (DBF) schemes BS. increases by exploiting multi-user diversity, but also compromises gain some extent due correlation. Finally, energy efficiency maximization problems terms BS antennas, transmit power are solved using derived laws. Simulation results show proposed improve sum-rate, performance becoming close that a users.

Precoding Methods for MISO Broadcast Channel with Delayed CSIT

Recent information theoretic results suggest that precoding on the multi-user downlink MIMO channel with delayed channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) could lead to data rates much beyond the ones obtained without any CSIT, even in extreme situations when the delayed channel feedback is made totally obsolete by a feedback delay exceeding the channel coherence time. This surprising...

On MISO Broadcast Channel With Alternating CSIT and Secrecy Constraints

We study the problem of secure transmission over a Gaussian multi-input single-output (MISO) two receiver channel with an external eavesdropper, under the assumption that the state of the channel which is available to each receiver is conveyed either perfectly (P) or with delay (D) to the transmitter. Denoting by S1, S2, and S3 the channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) of user 1, ...

Toward the Performance vs. Feedback Tradeoff for the Two-User MISO Broadcast Channel

For the two-user MISO broadcast channel with imperfect and delayed channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT), the work explores the tradeoff between performance, and CSIT timeliness and quality. The work considers a broad setting where communication takes place in the presence of a random fading process, and in the presence of a feedback process that, at any point in time, provides CS...

A hybrid TIM-NOMA scheme for the Broadcast Channel

Future mobile communication networks will require enhanced network efficiency and reduced system overhead. Research on Blind Interference Alignment and Topological Interference Management (TIM) has shown that optimal Degrees of Freedom can be achieved, in the absence of Channel State Information at the transmitters. Moreover, the recently emerged NonOrthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) scheme sugg...

Performance Analysis of cooperative SWIPT System: Intelligent Reflecting Surface versus Decode-and-Forward

In this paper, we explore the impacts of utilizing intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) in a power-splitting based simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (PS-SWIPT) system and compare its performance with the traditional decode and forward relaying system. To analyze a more practical system, it is also assumed that the receiving nodes are subject to decoding cost, and they are on...
