INTEGRATION OF MODERATE ISLAMIC VALUES IN CHARACTER EDUCATION AT ANAK SALEH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MALANG

Abstract: Islam carried main mission to improving human morals, not only teachings of monotheism and worship, but also concepts guidelines in one's interaction as a pluralistic world citizen exemplified by Prophet Muhammad SAW. recognizes differences beliefs, cultures, traditions, races, certain tribes, one them is stated Q.S Al-Hujurat: 13 about diversity. However, everyone agrees with this point view, emergence various sects Islam, such extremism who have an exclusive, closed, intolerant perspective affects development Islamic religion.It undeniable that these intolerant, radical, other attitudes can enter into every line our lives, including education. As efforts prevent extremism/radicalism institution education the integration moderate values ​​in character building elementary schools. One schools has tried integrate ​​is SD Anak Saleh. This study uses qualitative approach type case design. The results showed that: 1) ​​were applied through Panca Character program at 2) strategy learning class (intracurricular), outside (co-curricular) extracurricular activities inculcating five characters, namely personal, social, natural, intellectual, national character. 3) Implication implementation most graduates from Saleh attitudes, tolerant, religious (used carry out mandatory sunnah worship), inclusive, social care, love for Indonesian homeland.
