Integrating landscape resistance and multi-scale predictor of habitat selection for amphibian distribution modelling at large scale

چکیده

Species distribution modelling is a common tool in conservation biology but two main criticisms remain: (1) the use of simplistic variables that do not account for species movements and/or connectivity and (2) poor consideration multi-scale processes driving distributions. We aimed to determine if including fine-scale movement SDM predictors would improve accuracy low-mobility amphibian compared with species-level analysis. tested different SDMs nine four sets predictors: simple distance-based predictors; single-scale compositional (3) priori selection scale based on knowledge mobility scale-of-effect; (4) calculated using friction-based functional grain resource accessibility landscape resistance movement. Using produced slight moderate improvements performance at large scale. The approach, selection, led ambiguous results depending studied, particular generalist species. underline potential predictions

Using habitat distribution models to evaluate large-scale landscape priorities for spatially dynamic species

1. Large-scale conservation planning requires the identification of priority areas in which species have a high likelihood of long-term persistence. This typically requires high spatial resolution data on species and their habitat. Such data are rarely available at a large geographical scale, so distribution modelling is often required to identify the locations of priority areas. However, distr...

Seamlessly Integrating Software & Hardware Modelling for Large-Scale Systems

Large-scale systems increasingly consist of a mixture of co-dependent software and hardware. The differing nature of software and hardware means that they are often modelled separately and with different approaches. This can cause failures later in development during the integration of software and hardware designs, due to incompatible assumptions of software/hardware interactions. This paper p...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Stability analysis and selection of optimuim support system of large scale underground space-Case study

The Azad pumped storage power plant including the pumping and transformer cavern and surge tanks has been located in the Sanandaj-Sirjan formation with the alternation of slate and phyllite and meta sandstone.Due to the sensitivity and special use of these spaces, stability analysis and ensuring the safety of carven is very important.Nowadays, using the surface storage tanks is very costly; The...
