چکیده
Dam leakage is a major problem in earth-filled reservoir dams. The present research aimed at detecting the seepage zones an dam vicinity of Sarobi village, North Waziristan, Pakistan. objective was achieved by integrating geological, geotechnical, and geophysical datasets. Geological survey carried out area to identify surface exposures. Geotechnical data involved used estimation permeability Lugeon values network joints/fractures whereas electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) technique (utilizing Wenner-Schlumberger configuration) applied for identification zones. revealed highly deformed alluvium towards right abutment underlain compressed shale fractured limestone beds. indicated high permeability, values, concentration sand gravel low higher silt clay were observed left abutment. ERT identified conductive zone embedded between impermeable lithologies having 10 60 Ω·m. This parallel profiles acquired upstream, crest, downstream parts dam. integration all datasets joints that are interconnected provide path water upstream side pass through leak downstream.

Evaluating Seepage of Dam Body Using RBF and GFF Models of Artificial Neural Network
Dams have been always considered as the important infrastructures and their critical values are counted. Hence, evaluation and avoidance of dams’ destruction have a specific importance. Seepage occurrence in dams is an inevitable phenomenon. Despite all the progress in geotechnical engineering, up to now, seepage problem is the main conflict which occurs in dams. This study tried to estimate se...
متن کاملIntegrated ANN model for earthfill dams seepage analysis: Sattarkhan Dam in Iran
Piezometric heads in the core of Sattarkhan earthfill dam in Iran have been analyzed in this paper via Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Single and integrated ANN models were trained and verified using each piezometer’s data, and also the water levels on the up and downstream of the dam. Therefore, in the single ANN modeling a single ANN was developed for each piezometer, whereas in the integrat...

Snow and glacier melt in the Satluj River at Bhakra Dam in the western Himalayan region
Streamflow in the Himalayan rivers is generated from rainfall, snow and ice. The distribution of runoff produced from these sources is such that the streamflow may be observed in these rivers throughout the year, i.e. they are perennial in nature. Snow and glacier melt runoff contributes substantially to the annual flows of these rivers and its estimation is required for the planning, developme...
