چکیده
Foodborne zoonotic trematode (FZT) infections are common neglected tropical diseases in Southeast Asia. Their complicated life cycles involve freshwater snails as intermediate hosts. A cross-sectional study was conducted Yen Bai and Thanh Hoa provinces North Central Vietnam, to investigate the diversity of cercariae potential FZT construct phylogenetic relationship based on Internal Transcribed Spacer 2 (ITS2) region. Among 17 snail species collected from various habitats, 13 were infected by 10 cercarial groups among which parapleurolophocercous, pleurolophocercous, echinostome importance. The monophyletic tree separated sequences into different following description families Haplorchidae, Opisthorchiidae, Echinochasmidae, Echinostomatidae important FZT. overall prevalence habitats showed a seasonal trend. Parapleurolophocercous emerged most Bai, while monostome, echinostome, megalura Hoa. Using molecular approach, we identified Parafossarulus striatulus first host Clonorchis sinensis Thac Ba Lake. Melanoides tuberculata Bithynia fuchsiana preferred hosts diverse range including intestinal flukes (i.e., Haplorchis pumilio Echinochasmus japonicus) Hoa, respectively.

Fishborne Zoonotic Intestinal Trematodes, Vietnam
Although fishborne zoonotic trematodes that infect the liver are well documented in Vietnam, intestinal fishborne zoonotic trematodes are unreported. Recent discoveries of the metacercarial stage of these flukes in wild and farmed fish prompted an assessment of their risk to a community that eats raw fish. A fecal survey of 615 persons showed a trematode egg prevalence of 64.9%. Infected person...
متن کاملFreshwater Aquaculture Nurseries and Infection of Fish with Zoonotic Trematodes, Vietnam
Residents of the Red River Delta region of northern Vietnam have a long tradition of eating raw fish. Fish-borne zoonotic trematodes (FZTs) are estimated to infect ≈1 million persons in Vietnam. It remains uncertain at what stages in the aquaculture production cycle fish become infected with FZTs. Newly hatched fish (fry) from 8 hatcheries and juveniles from 27 nurseries were therefore examined...
متن کاملFishborne Zoonotic Trematodes Transmitted by Melanoides tuberculata Snails, Peru
We investigated the transmission of the fishborne trematodes Centrocestus formosanus and Haplorchis pumilio by Melanoides tuberculata snails in Peru. We report on results of experimental, morphological, and molecular approaches and discuss the potential risk for future human cases, given the existence of food habits in the country involving the ingestion of raw fish.

15 صفحه اولCercariae of Trematodes in Freshwater Snails in Three Climatic Zones in Sri Lanka
Cercariae of trematodes in freshwater snails were studied in 1694 snails collected from rivers and streams in three climatic zones of Sri Lanka during 2005 to 2008. Four snail species; Thiara scabra, T. tuberculata, Paludomous sphearica and Gyraulus saigonensis were collected from nine sites in four districts; Matale, Kandy, Kegalle, and Kurunegala. Snails were allowed to release cercariae unde...
