Insertion Torque (IT) and Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) Assessment in Dental Implants with and without Healing Chambers: A Polyurethane In Vitro Study

چکیده

Primary Stability (PS) depends on different factors, such as bone structure (quality and density), implant characteristics (macro micro), the relationship between thread shape insertion hole size. PS is crucial for prognosis success of dental implants. The use healing chambers, which create empty spaces peri-implant bone, helps reduce risk compressive necrosis. High Insertion Torque (IT) values could potentially lead to deterioration implant-abutment connection. However, optimal macro-structure IT remain unknown. In this study, implants with chambers (Test) without (Control) were inserted into polyurethane blocks densities 10, 20, 30, 40 pounds per cubic foot (PCF). 30 PCF, Control had significantly higher than Test Additionally, exhibited Removal (RT) implants, but only in PCF density block (p < 0.0001). no differences found blocks. Similarly, significant observed Implant Quotient (ISQ) results present study confirm that adding can affecting ISQ values. This suggests potential avoiding compression damage while maintaining consistent levels PS.

Mathematical evaluation of the influence of multiple factors on implant stability quotient values in clinical practice: a retrospective study

OBJECTIVES The objective of this study is to mathematically evaluate the influence of multiple factors on implant stability quotient values in clinical practice. PATIENTS AND METHODS Resonance frequency analysis was performed at T1 (measured immediately at the time of implant placement) and at T2 (measured before dental restoration) in 177 patients (329 implants). Using a multivariate linear ...

Does Countersinking Improve Implant Primary Stability in Low Density Bone?

ABSTRACT In order to evaluate the effect of countersinking on dental implants primary stability installed in low density bones, thirty dental implants were installed in the most proximal region of oxen ribs and grouped as follow: Group1: Fifteen implants installed by standard drilling with countersinking, Group2: Fifteen implants installed by standard drilling without countersinking. The gradua...

Effect of bone quality and implant surgical technique on implant stability quotient (ISQ) value

PURPOSE This study investigated the influence of bone quality and surgical technique on the implant stability quotient (ISQ) value. In addition, the influence of interfacial bone quality, directly surrounding the implant fixture, on the resonance frequency of the structure was also evaluated by the finite element analysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS Two different types of bone (type 1 and type 2) ...

Biomechanical evaluation of dental implants with different surfaces: Removal torque and resonance frequency analysis in rabbits

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Macroscopic and especially microscopic properties of implant surfaces play a major role in the osseous healing of dental implants. Dental implants with modified surfaces have shown stronger osseointegration than implants which are only turned (machined). Advanced surface modification techniques such as anodic oxidation and Ca-P application have been developed to achieve fas...
