Insecticidal effect of deltamethrin, dinotefuran and spiromesifen against the sugarcane whitefly <i>Neomaskellia andropogonis</i> on CP69-1062 sugarcane cultivar

Summary The sugarcane whitefly, Neomaskellia andropogonis Corbett (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae), is one of the important pests in Iran. use selective chemical insecticides helps to suppress whitefly infestations. Although several from various groups have been registered control whiteflies, this first study test efficacy deltamethrin, dinotefuran and spiromesifen against eggs, second instar nymphs pupae on CP69-1062 cultivar. Five concentrations tested were applied a leaf dipping bioassay under laboratory conditions. Probit analysis indicated that deltamethrin with LC 50 values 50.1 49.5 ppm most toxic eggs N. . Deltamethrin controlled nymphal pupal stages more effective than other two 49.7 5.44 pupae, respectively. 564.7 78.7 270.9 18.3 for spiromesifen, results support rotation according their different mode action integrated pest management programs
