INOVASI PRODUK FASHION DENGAN MENERAPKAN KARAKTER VISUAL CHIAROSCURO MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK CETAK TINGGI CUKIL KAYU BLOCK PRINTING

The peculiarities of conventional techniques in textile processing make a significant contribution to the artwork’s value terms aesthetics and originality. woodcut relief printing technique, also known as block printing, is surface design technique with its characteristics technical work resulting visual effects. character chiaroscuro can be built composition color values different intensities through plate or matrix process area. primary purpose this study determine opportunities for materials processed using craft-based fashion product design. This uses qualitative method analyze studies' results based on data collection application theories from literature observations. So, it possible develop experiments analyses following research objectives. include visualization motifs form stylized images fire sky sheets ATBM woven cloth kenaf hemp fibers multi-block method. Then implemented into menswear consisting 5 (five) looks focus placing tops shirts, jackets, bomber jackets. Keywords: chiaroscuro, craft, fashion. AbstrakKekhasan teknik konvensional dalam pengolahan tekstil memberikan sumbangan yang signifikan bagi nilai sebuah karya baik dari segi estetika maupun orisinalitas. Teknik cetak tinggi cukil kayu atau disebut juga merupakan salah satu memiliki karakteristik tersendiri hal teknis pembuatan efek dihasilkan. Karakter dapat dibangun dengan komposisi warna intensitas berbeda melalui proses pencetakan plat matriks pada bidang printing. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peluang material diolah menggunakan berkarakter perancangan produk berbasis kriya. Pada metode kualitatif digunakan sebagai panduan di mana analisis atas hasil kajian berdasarkan pengumpulan data, penerapan teori, serta observasi menunjang sehingga dilakukan pengembangan eksperimen dan sesuai tujuan penelitian. Hasil diantaranya visualisasi motif berupa stilasi image api langit lembaran kain tenun serat rami multi-block.
