INNOVATIVENESS AND COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZE ENTERPRISES IN KOGI STATE, NIGERIA

This study focused on link innovativeness and Competitive Advantage (CA) of Small Medium-size Enterprise (SMEs). The examined the effect Value Capture Innovation (VCI) CA, as well VPI CA SMEs in Kogi State. survey research design was adopted. 255 were surveyed, but 219 owners/managers eventually became active participants. Multi-stage random sampling technique reliability results showed VCI (α=0.917); (α=0.776). Multiple Regression analysis used for testing hypotheses. Descriptive statistics aggregated characterized data a straightforward clear manner. Finding that has significant State, (Value Proposition (VPI) SMEs. concluded need to possess innovation capabilities so enhance reasonable position competitive business environment. recommended SME owners should increase their commitment achieve sustainable enterprises, invest create effective medium route towards achievement enterprises. Key words: innovative activity, advantage, value capture innovation, proposition new customer relationships
