Innovative method of broad banding a helical-TWT

Abstract A new method of broad banding a helix TWT is suggested in which, instead shaping the dispersion characteristics helical structure by using tapered geometry dielectric helix-support rods, two-stage loading provided severing two sections each with conventional supports here typically wedge cross section. One was heavily loaded compared to other section so that gain peaks on frequency scale occur former unlike latter which single peak occurs. The parameters and beam were adjusted lightly falls between resulting ultra-wide bandwidths proposed device. In addition well-known Pierce’s formula, basic sheath-helix model used process developing this method. Research has been done investigate whether or not positive stage speed tightening might help enhance display broadband voyaging wave tube.
