Inhibition of the interaction between fibronectin and dermatopontin by Clostridium perfringens fibronectin‐binding proteins

چکیده

Fibronectin (Fn) is an approximately 450 kDa glycoprotein that consists of 12 type I, 2 II, and 15–17 III modules. Fibrillation Fn important for tissue reconstitution wound healing. We previously reported Clostridium perfringens produces several Fn-binding proteins (Fbps), two which, FbpA FbpB, bind to III1-C (a fragment derived from the carboxyl-terminal two-thirds first-type module). Dermatopontin (DPT), a 22 noncollagenous extracellular matrix protein, accelerates normal collagen fibrillation induces fibrillation. DPT interacts with Fn-type III12–14 (III12–14), leading change in conformation promoting Here, we investigated effects FbpB on binding DPT-induced Both recombinant (rFbpA) (rFbpB) significantly inhibited (rIII12–14) binding, Furthermore, it was found both rFbpA rFbpB bound coated enzyme-linked avidin–biotin complex system, whereas rIII12–14 did not either or rFbpB. In conclusion, via their interaction DPT. released lysed C. cells wounds and/or infected may prevent delay healing process, subsequently exacerbating infection.

examining the relationship between fear of negative evaluation and communication strategies by iranian efl learners

the purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between fear of negative evaluation (fne) and communication strategies (css) among iranian efl learners. it was aimed to examine the differences in the use of communication strategies between speakers with high or low degree of fear of negative evaluation. the current study was a case study consisting of 10 english learners at...

Specificity of Interaction between Clostridium perfringens Enterotoxin and Claudin-Family Tight Junction Proteins

Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin (CPE), a major cause of food poisoning, forms physical pores in the plasma membrane of intestinal epithelial cells. The ability of CPE to recognize the epithelium is due to the C-terminal binding domain, which binds to a specific motif on the second extracellular loop of tight junction proteins known as claudins. The interaction between claudins and CPE plays...

on translation of phatic communion and socio-cultural relationships between the characters of the novels

phatic communion is a cultural concept which differs across cultures. according to hofstede (2001), the u.s. tends to have individualistic culture; however, asian countries tend to have collectivistic cultures. these cultures view phatic communion differently. in individualistic cultures like u.s., phatic communion reflects speakers’ socio-cultural relationships in conversations. to see whether...

Penicillin-binding proteins in Clostridium perfringens.

The penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) of Clostridium perfringens were studied. Six PBPs ranging in molecular weight from approximately 42,000 to 100,000 were detected in the cytoplasmic membrane. The relative affinities of the PBPs for 16 beta-lactam antibiotics were determined. Most of the drug saturated PBP 3 and 4 at concentrations equal to their minimal inhibitory concentrations, suggestin...
