INHERITANCE OF ADULT PLANT RESISTANCE TO POWDERY MILDEWIN SOME CROSSES OF BREAD WHEAT

چکیده

Eight F2 populations of crosses carried out between the resistant cultivar Amigo and 8 susceptible bread wheat cultivars were evaluated to study inheritance resistance powdery mildew (Pm) caused byBlumeria. graminis f.sp . tritici also estimate number action genes related adult plant resistance. The response disease was studied in a conditioned glasshouse natural infection open field. Individual plants scored classified as or according specific scale. tested local showed responses at both seedling stages, while stage adult stage. F2 all stage. Obtained results revealed that is ruled by single gene in the Amigo/Sids12 Amigo/Misr2; two recessive Amigo/Gemmeiza11 cross. resistance in populations Amigo/Sakha95, and Amigo/Giza171 controlled dominant genes, Amigo/Gemmeiza12, Amigo/Sakha94 Amigo/Misr1 crosses incompatible genes. Sakha 95 Giza171 best suitable for transferring gene Pm17.

QTL Analysis and Nested Association Mapping for Adult Plant Resistance to Powdery Mildew in Two Bread Wheat Populations

CIMMYT wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) lines Francolin#1 and Quaiu#3 displayed effective and stable adult plant resistance (APR) to Chinese Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici isolates in the field. To elucidate their genetic basis of resistance, two recombinant inbred line (RIL) populations of their crosses with Avocet, the susceptible parent, were phenotyped in Zhengzhou and Shangqiu in the 2014-20...

Evaluation of Resistance to Zymoseptoria tritici Blotch andFusarium Head Blight in Some Genotypes of Bread Wheat

Using resistant cultivars is an effective method in management Zymoseptoria tritici Blotch and Fusarium Head Blight of wheat. This study was conducted to identify new sources of resistance to these diseases among a large number of Iranian cultivars and new wheat genotypes. The genotypes were cultivated in an augment design in the research farm of Aliabad Katoul Agricultural School. Artificial c...

Diallel analysis of some important Morpho-Phenological traits in bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) crosses

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is the most important food crop. It offers a great wealth of material for genetic studies due to its wide ecological distribution. The effects of GCA and SCA of morpho-phenological traits i.e. days to emergence, days to flowering, days to maturity, flag leaf length, grain filling duration, spike weight per plant, stem weight and grain yield were studied uti...

Efficiency of resistance genes in wheat to powdery mildew in some centers of disease incidence in Iran

Wheat powdery mildew caused by fungal pathogen Blumeria graminis f.sp. tritici is a destructive wheat disease, occurring in regions with cool and humid climates. In order to investigate the changes in pathogenicity of the disease and to identify the effective genetic source of resistance, a total of 29 wheat genotypes with different resistance major genes (Pm) were studied in two hotspots of Go...

Allelic series of four powdery mildew resistance genes at the Pm3 locus in hexaploid bread wheat.

At the Pm3 locus in hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum), 10 alleles conferring race-specific resistance to powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici) are known. A cluster of genes encoding coiled-coil-nucleotide-binding site-leucine-rich repeat proteins spans the Pm3 locus on wheat chromosome 1A, and one member of this gene family has recently been identified as the Pm3b resistance gene....
