چکیده

We present the first report of optical absorption spectroscopy H$^{36}\!$Cl, a radioactive isotopologue hydrogen chloride. used Fourier-transform infrared to determine line center wavenumbers fundamental rovibrational band lines P(10)-R(10) and overtone P(1)-R(7) with total uncertainty less than 0.0018 cm$^{-1}$ (60 MHz) 0.007 (0.2 GHz), respectively, at 68 % confidence level. also performed rotational analysis on bands related molecular constants. further compared linewidths relative intensities those stable isotopologues H$^{35}\!$Cl H$^{37}\!$Cl. The new spectroscopic information assists in developing instrumentation for detection H$^{36}\!$Cl.

Infrared spectroscopy of ozone and hydrogen chloride aerosols.

Aerosols of ozone have been generated in a collisional cooling cell and observed over a small temperature range via FTIR spectroscopy, with the phase transition from the vapour taking place in the range 80-84 K. The condensed phase bands at 1038 cm(-1) (nu3) and 2105 cm(-1) (nu1+nu3) were assigned to the liquid phase. Aerosols were also generated from mixtures of ozone and HCl. In the presence ...

Infrared spectroscopy of hydrogen in ZnO

Zinc oxide ~ZnO! is a wide-band gap semiconductor that has attracted tremendous interest for optical, electronic, and mechanical applications. First-principles calculations by @C. G. Van de Walle, Phys. Rev. Lett. 85, 1012 ~2000!# have predicted that hydrogen impurities in ZnO are shallow donors. In order to determine the microscopic structure of hydrogen donors, we have used IR spectroscopy to...

Cavity ring-down spectroscopy sensor for detection of hydrogen chloride

A laser-based cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) sensor for measurement of hydrogen chloride (HCl) has been developed and characterized. The instrument uses light from a distributed-feedback diode laser at 1742 nm coupled to a high finesse optical cavity to make sensitive and quantifiable concentration measurements of HCl based on optical absorption. The instrument has a (1σ ) limit of detect...

Infrared overtone spectroscopy of adsorbed hydrogen in MOF-5

Overtone spectroscopy is used to observe the rovibrational spectra of the hydrogen isotopologues H2, HD, and D2 adsorbed in the metal–organic framework known as MOF-5. It is shown that the overtone spectrum facilitates the identification of hydrogen modes which are obscured in the fundamental region by the presence of MOF-5 features. Further, the overtone spectrum of H2 at the primary adsorptio...

Infrared spectroscopy of hydrogen in annealed zinc oxide

Zinc oxide (ZnO) has shown great promise as a wide band gap semiconductor with optical, electronic, and mechanical applications. First-principles investigations by C. G. Van de Walle (Phys. Rev. Lett. 85 (2000) 1012) suggest that hydrogen may act as a shallow donor in ZnO. These same predictions also apply to deuterium (D). Using IR spectroscopy we have observed O–H and O–D stretch modes at 332...
