Influence of Vermicompost and Foliar Applications on Growth, Physiological and Yield Parameters of Irrigated Blackgram (Vigna mungo L. Hepper)

Field experiments were conducted at the South farm in Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Division Agronomy, Coimbatore, during Rabi season 2022. The experimental site is situated western agro-climatic zone Tamil Nadu, a latitude 10°56'N longitude 76°44'E, with an elevation 474 meters above mean sea level. soil composition field was identified as clay loam, moderately drained, exhibited low availability nitrogen (202 kg/ha), high phosphorus (12.3 medium potassium (415 organic carbon content 0.51%. experiment followed randomized block design (RBD) 10 treatment groups, each replicated three times viz.,T1 - Control, T2 Vermicompost 100% (on N Equivalent basis)+ Cowdung slurry, T3 -Vermicompost100% basis)+TNAU Biomineralizer,T4 basis) + (Effective microorganism),T5 Pleurotus sp Urea, T6- (50%) +RDF T7- TNAU Biomineralizer, T8 -Vermicompost RDF EM Microorganism),T9 ,T10 alone. objective study to investigate impact vermicompost other foliar applications on growth, physiological characteristics, yield parameters irrigated Black gram (VBN8 variety). promotion can be attributed increased vegetative growth balanced carbon-to-nitrogen (C: N) ratio, which likely stimulated synthesis carbohydrates.
