Influence of traverse and waveone gold glider glide path files on the amount of apically extruded debris

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect different glide path files on amount apically extruded debris. Material and Methods: Sixty single-canaled mandibular premolars were accessed randomly divided into three groups (n= 20) according file used for glid creation; group A using Traverse file, B WaveOne Gold Glider, C stainless steel K file. All teeth then instrumented Reciproc system. debris during instrumentation collected pre-weighed Eppendorf tubes which stored in an incubator at 70 °C 5 days. weight dry established by subtracting pre-instrumentation post-instrumentation weights tubes. data analyzed one-way ANOVA test, post hoc analysis. Results: Glider produced least apical (0.41±0.25) followed (0.59±0.20) K-file (0.64±0.16) with a statistically significant difference (p=0.003). Conclusion: Apical extrusion is inevitable root canal cleaning shaping. Creation engine-driven produces less compared hand-driven K-files.
