چکیده

In the context of bio-based ionic liquids (ILs), in recent years levulinate ILs have been explored various applications with appreciable performances. To expand their scope use, seven selected featuring different cationic moieties prepared and physico-chemical properties compared. While all generated displayed only glass transitions at low temperature (<−60 °C), [C4C1Pyr]Lev presented melting crystallization events. The thermal stability determined by TGA decreased order [P8881]Lev > [C2C1Im]Lev ≈ [C4C1Im]Lev [C2C1Pip]Lev [C2C1Pyr]Lev [N8881]Lev, is good agreement general trend observed for carboxylate ILs. terms viscosity, LevILs showed a Newtonian behaviour when considering shearing rates range, marked reduction viscosity increasing temperatures. glassy was further ascertained applying MYEGA viscosity-based model determination fragility index. density found to vary vicinity 1g/cm3, systematic refractive index increase identified as trend. experimentally five wavelengths several temperatures between 80 °C 130 followed [N8881]Lev. Overall, possibility tune through structural variations part has proven valid LevIL family. When compared described literature, show great potential applicative studies.

the influence of the neo-platonic concept of poetic imagination on wordsworth’s poetry

Cation symmetry effect on the volatility of ionic liquids.

This work reports the first data for the vapor pressures at several temperatures of the ionic liquids, [C(N/2)C(N/2)im][NTf(2)] (N = 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) measured using a Knudsen effusion apparatus combined with a quartz crystal microbalance. The morphology and the thermodynamic parameters of vaporization derived from the vapor pressures, are compared with those for the 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium ...

Ultrafast dynamics of pyrrolidinium cation ionic liquids.

We have investigated the ultrafast molecular dynamics of five pyrrolidinium cation room temperature ionic liquids using femtosecond optical heterodyne-detected Raman-induced Kerr effect spectroscopy. The ionic liquids studied are N-butyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide P14+/NTf2-), N-methoxyethyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide P1EOE+/NTf2-), N-et...

Cation electrochemical stability in chloroaluminate ionic liquids.

The electrochemical stability of 10 organic cations, which can be used in ionic liquids (IL), was investigated as solutes in acetonitrile (ACN). The stability of three of the salts, BenMe2EtNCl (salt III), 1-butyl-2-methyl pyrrolidium chloride (salt VI), and its structural isomer, BuMe2ProNCl (salt VII), were also compared in chloroaluminate ILs. The chloroaluminate ILs of salts VI and VII are ...

Tribological Properties of Ionic Liquids

An ionic liquid is a liquid salt consisting of anions and cations. Since Wilkes [1] synthesized a low melting point ionic liquid that is stable in air in 1992, there has been active fundamen‐ tal research and engineering development directed at applications. In the field of tribology, where application is focused toward lubricants, the number of related papers [3]-[28] has in‐ creased every yea...
