Influence of Slope Direction on the Soil Seed Bank and Seedling Regeneration of Castanopsis hystrix Seed Rain

Objective: To investigate the impact of different slope directions on quantity and quality soil seed bank seedling germination process Castanopsis hystrix plantations. Method: Fixed sample plots in forest stands were established (sunny slope, semi-sunny semi-shady shady slope). The characteristics stand investigated, per-wood scaling was carried out. temporal dynamics rain quantified using collectors by collecting samples from depths. seeds determined, vigor mature measured throughout study. Results: (1) diffusion started mid-September, reached its peak late October to early November, ended mid-December. (2) dissemination process, occurrence time, composition varied between directions. intensity highest (572.75 ± 9.50 grains∙m−2), followed sunny (515.60 10.28 (382.13 12.11 finally (208.00 11.35 grains∙m−2). diffused earliest lasted longest, while latest shortest time. (4) density differed significantly had most seedlings, Conclusions: environmental conditions found be suitable for growth hystrix, more conducive regeneration restoration population.
