چکیده

The study aimed to determine the impact of laser light (L), magnetic stimulation (p) and silver nanocolloid (AgNC) on pumpkin seeds germination rate content photosynthetic pigments as well efficiency photosynthesis greenness index in plant’s development stages. Seeds germinated after use various combinations different refining techniques. best results were observed for alternating field, where energy increased significantly by 20% relative control. A similar effect was terms capacity which 4%. decrease emergence all groups. Leaves grown from soaked nanocolloidal platters characterised a higher chlorophyll b by, respectively, 53 11%, 79% carotenoid content. leaves potted plants contained 42 43% more groups p AgNC. In addition, 66 81% carotenoids L p. At stage onset flowering pumpkin, an improvement highest recorded reached 23% (intensity photosynthesis) 11% (greenness SPAD).

Effect of priming on germination indices of deteriorated seeds of pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) in salinity conditions

In order to investigate the effect of priming on germination characteristics of aged pumpkin seeds, under salinity stress an experiment was performed as a factorial design in a completely randomized design with 4 replications. Experiment was done in the Seed Science and Technology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mohaghegh Ardabili University. Treatments included ...

Some Physical Properties of Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L. ) and Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus L.) Seeds

Some physical properties of pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) and watermelon (Citrullus lanatus L.) seeds were determined at a moisture content of 9.87% and 2.87% (dry basis), respectively. The mean values of length, width, thickness and geometric mean diameter were 19.92, 11.30, 3.22, 9.71 mm for pumpkin seeds, and 13.28, 8.00, 2.64, 6.52 mm for watermelon seeds, respectively. The mean 1000 seed mas...

The Nature of Light-Induced Inhibition of Photosystem II in Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) Leaves Depends on Temperature.

Attached leaves of pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) were treated in high or moderate light at room temperature or a 1 degrees C. The symptoms of photoinhibition appearing during light treatments at room temperature could be attributed to a decrease in the primary activity of PSII. However, when the light treatment was given at 1 degrees C, the quantum yield of photosynthetic oxygen evolution decreas...

The influence of plant growth regulators on callus induction in pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) hairy roots.

Following in vitro infection with Agrobacterium rhizogenes wild strain (mannopine, 8196) and two A. tumefaciens transconjugant strains (C58C1 pArA4abc and C58C1 pArA4b) transformed (hairy) roots were induced in pumpkin (C. pepo L.) cotyledons. The presence of pRi T-DNA in pumpkin long-term hairy root cultures was determined by Southern hybridization. The influence of plant growth regulators on ...
