Influence of Si nanocrystals on polyaniline conductivity

The electrical properties of a complex polyaniline with poly-2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid (PANI-PAMPSA) and composites based on it the addition silicon nanocrystals (nc-Si) ranging in size from 30 nm to 100 are studied this article. It was found that dc conductivity PANI-PAMSA decreases introduction nc-Si. Investigations alternating current showed frequency dependence polymer obeys Jonscher law, which indicates significant role hopping mechanism conductivity. A PANI-PAMPSA reducing by incorporation is proposed. associated energy distribution localized states band gap changing independent nc-Si synthesis method. Si nanocrystals grown on cubic SiC have been characterized using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. At lower temperatures nanocrystals grow in two different orientations, whereas at higher temperatures they grow in a single preferred orientation.
