Influence of Initial Crystal Orientation and Carbon Content on Rolling-induced Texture in 3 Mass% Si Steel

The influence of the initial crystal orientation and carbon content on rolling-induced texture was investigated using quasi-single crystals 3.2 mass% Si steel. These specimens had {110}<001> {110}<113> orientations, which are common near surface textures for hot-rolled steel band. In case ultralow-carbon specimens, rotated to {111}<112> after 66% reduction cold rolling {211}<124>. It is considered that rotation from {211}<124> caused by activation {110} slip system, has second largest Schmid factor. not be a stable texture; however, well developed in present experiments. addition, geometric characteristic if it rotates one will revert another system. containing carbon, {100}<011> due deformation twinning. On other hand, {211}<113> during rolling. Deformation twinning also observed. twins
