Influence of Infill on Reinforced Concrete Frame Resting on Slopes under Lateral Loading

چکیده
When compared to traditional reinforced concrete constructions on level surfaces, buildings situated hills with slopes require additional consideration, particularly when seismic loading is an important factor. In hilly slopes, the ground-level columns of structures have different heights due nature slope, which leads a short column effect. This paper represents experimental and analytical investigation behaviour frames their response in sloped regions hills, global retrofitting techniques were adopted by providing solid infill effect zone for same storey differentheights. Numerical analysis was conducted how affected under lateral cyclic loads. It discovered that bare frames, masonry greatly increased load-carrying capacity up 50%. meantime, frame’s ability dissipate energy linearly. After added frame effect, structure’s reactions, including ultimate load displacement, crack pattern, dissipation, absorption, examined. With addition infill, strength dissipation 2.45 times. The damage development less impacted stress than without infill.

Study the Reinforced Concrete Frame with Brick Masonry Infill due to Lateral Loads
In the building construction, framed structures are frequently used due to ease of construction and rapid progress of work. Masonry infill panels have been widely used as interior and exterior partition walls for aesthetic reasons and functional needs. When infill walls are omitted in a particular storey, a soft storey is formed compared to much stiffer other stories. The masonry infill has bee...

Abstract—Various retrofit techniques for reinforced concrete frame with infill wall have been steadily developed. Among those techniques, strengthening methodology based on diagonal FRP strips (FRP bracings) has numerous advantages such as feasibility of implementing without interrupting the building under operation, reduction of cost and time, and easy application. Considering the safety of st...
متن کاملEffect of Steel Confinement on Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Frame
The strength and ductility of concrete improve under multi-axial compressive stress due to confinement effect. Some parameters are effective for considering the confinement in concrete and various stress-strain models were developed by different researchers. Longitudinal and transverse reinforcement steels can influence on confinement in reinforced concrete members. In this paper, various stres...
متن کاملInfluence of Infill Panels and their Distribution on Seismic Behavior of Existing Reinforced Concrete Buildings
Infills can highly influence the seismic response of a Reinforced Concrete (RC) building: generally speaking, their presence leads to an increase in global stiffness and strength, but their brittle behavior can result in an increase of displacement demand if a certain threshold of seismic intensity is overcome. Moreover, presence of infills often leads to a change in the collapse mechanism comp...
متن کاملBehaviour of Reinforced Fibrous Concrete Beams under Reversed Cyclic Loading
When earthquakes occur, energy released by the earthquake gets induced into the structure as ground motion and this energy has to be dissipated for safety reasons. To release seismic energy, the structure should damage in such a way that on one hand, collapse of structure should not occur and on the other hand, after the earthquake, damage should be economically feasible to repair. To avoid the...
