چکیده

The main reason for the limited usage of biodiesel is it tends to oxidize when exposed air. It anticipated that addition an antioxidant along with graphene nano particle improves combustion diesel-biodiesel blend. In present research made from transesterification waste cooking oil used. Three synthetic antioxidants butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), 2(3)-t-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole (BHA) and tert butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) 30 ppm were added at a volume fraction 1000 diesel–biodiesel blends (B20). performance emission tests performed constant engine speed 1500 rpm. Because inclusion particles, surface area ratio fuel augmented enhancing mixing ability chemical responsiveness during burning causing superior performance, aspects compression ignition engine. results revealed there was slight increase in brake power thermal efficiency about 0.29%, 0.585%, 0.58% 6.22%, 3.11%, 3.31% B20GrBHT1000, B20GrBHA1000 B20GrTBHQ1000, respectively, compared B20. Additionally, BSFC, HC NOx emissions reduced considerable levels reformed fuel.

Influence of Biodiesel from Egyptian Used Cooking Oils on Performance and Emissions of Diesel Engine

Due to diminishing petroleum reserves and the environmental negative effects of exhaust gases from diesel engines, alternative fuels for diesel engines are becoming increasingly important Egyptian waste cooking oils have special specifications because it expose to high temperatures during use for long hours. In the present experimental study, the performance and emissions of a four strokes, sin...

Performance and Emissions of a Tractor engine operating on biodiesel-diesel blends with EGR

The influences of different diesel/biodiesel blends and EGR rate on brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), exhaust gas temperature, NO, HC, CO emissions, are studied and demonstrated. In this paper a four stroke direct injection, water cooled, diesel engine was used. Biodiesel either in neat form or as a blend with diesel fuel is extensively investigated to solve the twin problem of reduction ...

Diesel Engine Performance and Exhaust Emissions Using Cottonseed Oil Biodiesel

Non-road diesel engines are significant contributors to air pollution in the United States (USEPA, 2004). These engines emit particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and other pollutants. The Clean Air Non-road Diesel Rule was put in place to reduce emission levels from agricultural, construction, and industrial diesel powered equipment. This rule calls for a reduct...

Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine with Cottonseed Oil Plus Diesel Oil Blends

aIn the present study a 4-stroke 5hp diesel engine was tested with Diesel oil plus cottonseed oil blends. The blends in different proportions (10 to 50 percent by volume) were tested at constant speed of 1500 rpm. The said engine is operated at different loads and characteristics like Brake power, Brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption etc. Engine performance for blends resulted in...

Emissions of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons and Particle-Bound Metals from a Diesel Engine Generator Fueled with Waste Cooking Oil-Based Biodiesel Blends

This study investigates the emission of a heavy-duty diesel engine generator fueled with waste cooking oil (WCO)based biodiesel blends (W) and operated at 1.5 and 3.0 kW loads. A brand of pure fossil diesel was adopted as the base fuel, with 20% and 40% WCO-based biodiesel added into the based fuel to form W20 and W40 blends, respectively. The emission characteristics of PM, metals and PAHs wer...
