Influence of Dates of Sowing and Spacing on Growth and Yield of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.)

The present study aimed to investigate the influence of Dates sowing and Spacing on Growth Yield Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.). A field experiment was carried out during Zaid season 2022 at Crop Research Farm, Department Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture, Technology Sciences, Prayagraj (U.P.) India. treatments consist 1stfortnight June,2ndfortnight June,1stfortnight July S1- 20×15cm, S2- 40×15cm, S3- 60×15cm. There were 10 each replicated thrice. soil experimental plot sandy loamy in texture, nearly neutral reaction (pH 7.8), low organic carbon (0.35%) available N (163.42 kg/ha), P (21.96 kg/ha) K (256.48 kg/ha). Results revealed that higher plant height (207.41cm), dry weight (94.86 g/plant), number Grains/ear head (1588.30), Test (14.93 gm), Grain yield (5.57 t/ha) significantly influenced with time 2ndfortnight June along spacing 40×15cm.
