Influence of Catalytic Additive Application on the Wood-Based Waste Combustion Process

The furniture industry is one of the most dynamically developing sectors Polish economy. Unfortunately, due to national law, it involves producing a significant amount wood-based waste, which can only be incinerated in installations that meet requirements for waste incineration or co-incineration plants. This presence various types chemical additives post-production residues, increases emission hazardous compounds into atmosphere during combustion. article presents an analysis impact use catalytic on emissions produced from combustion waste. For this purpose, analyzed material was pelletized by mixing with DESONOX catalyst spraying fuel + H2O solution 1:1 ratio. Catalytic substances were introduced until concentration 0.1% its mass obtained. catalysts has significantly reduced CO and NOX atmosphere. In case carbon monoxide, effective Ad2 (reduction 44%), nitrogen oxides, Ad1 31%) achieved best outcome. results may indication legislation encouraging plants burn their own units using substances.
