چکیده
Background: Variances in blood group antigen have been related with susceptibility particular to diseases. Prothrombin time [PT], measures the efficiency of extrinsic and common coagulation pathways, although Activated partial Thromboplastin [APTT] test evaluates intrinsic pathways. Objective: To explore influence groups on APTT PT among Healthy University Students different ABO groups. Materials methods: Cross section study including student during period three months from September 2020 December at Medical campus, El Imam Mahdi, White Nile State, Kosti City, total 480 students were enrolled. Four milliliters venous was collected each student, grouping done by tile method whereas APTT, analyzed using manual methods. Data processed Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program version 26 means descriptive inferential statistics. Results: Blood O largest individuals [45%], followed A [30%] B [16%], while AB has smallest percentage (9%). is significantly higher value [39.07 ± 4.81] second compared [36.60 5.89] second, [35.23 4.86] [34.39 5.30] P < 0.05. Likewise, showed a [15.94 1.36] [14.12 1.43] [13.54 1.35] [14.67 1.80] Male had level (44.44± 7.27] [15.66 1.88] and, female [35.14 6.49] [14.08 1.29] Conclusion: Males levels females. [O] having [A]individuals PT. This proposal that may be affect their (APTT) Coagulation mechanisms (PT].

Influence of sex on activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) and prothrombin time (PT) in sheep.
Haemostasis is a physiological process that prevents excessive blood loss. In laboratory, the prothrombin time (PT) and the activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) are used to examine clotting systems. However, the influence of sex on PT and aPTT values is unknown. The present work aimed to determine the values for PT and aPTT in adult sheep and to evaluate their dependence on the sex of t...
متن کاملStability of prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time tests under different storage conditions.
Prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) are common laboratory tests that are useful in the diagnosis of coagulation disorders and monitoring anticoagulant therapy. Recent expansions in the outreach laboratory services at our institution prompted us to investigate the shipping limitations for some tests, including PT and aPTT. Although we followed NCCLS guidelines ...
متن کاملA clinical evaluation of automated chromogenic tests as substitutes for conventional prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time tests.
Automated procedures involving a chromogenic substrate sensitive to thrombin-sarcosine-Pro-Arg p-nitroanilide were compared with conventional tests for prothrombin times and activated partial thromboplastin times (APTT) and with specific assays for factors V, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII. The reproducibility and sensitivity of the chromogenic tests were compared with those of the clotting test...
متن کاملLaboratory Methodologic Approach in Prolonged Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time Test
The pathological activated partial thromboplastin time test is a data that we can find in all clinical laboratories routinely. The hemato-coagulative clinical case here reported aims to point out how the laboratory can provide a correct diagnosis by methodological rational setting and, consequently, carry out an appropriate therapy, or reassure the patient that the pathological data will not ca...
متن کاملThe effects of hemolysis on plasma prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time tests using photo-optical method
Hemolysis is the most common reason why coagulation test samples are rejected. However, the effects of hemolysis on plasma prothrombin time (PPT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) are rarely investigated and the results are controversial. This research aims to analyze the effects of hemolysis on PPT and APPT using the photo-optical method.Nonhemolyzed citrate blood samples (n = 3...
