The complexity of corrosion mechanisms in harsh offshore environments poses safety and integrity challenges to oil gas operations. Exploring the unstable interactions complex required an advanced probabilistic model. current study presents development a approach for consequence-based assessment subsea pipelines exposed mechanisms. Bayesian Probabilistic Network (BPN) is applied structurally learn propagation among under-deposit microbial failure state prediction asset. A two-step consequences analysis inferred from establish impact on environment, lives, economic losses. essence understand how between mechanisms’ nodes influence likely number spills environment. associated cost predicted using expected utility decision theory. proposed tested corroding pipeline (API X60) predict degree failed asset’s consequences. At worst degradation state, consequence gives 1.0822×108 USD. influence-based model provides prognostic tool proactive management planning systems stochastic environments.
