Inertial Sensors Integrated with Clothing to Localize People Inside Buildings
نویسندگان
چکیده
This article presents a wearable system that localizes people in the indoor environment, using data from inertial sensors. The sensors measure parameters of human motion, tracking movements torso and foot. For this purpose, they were integrated with shirt shoe insole. values acceleration measured by are sent via Bluetooth to smartphone. localization algorithm implemented on smartphone, presented here, merges track steps made user filter out artefacts caused torso. experimental verification is also presented.

Collaborative Pedestrian Mapping of Buildings Using Inertial Sensors and FootSLAM
The FeetSLAM technique builds on iterative processing of multiple sets of pedestrian odometry data, based on FootSLAM. The objective is to obtain maps of large areas based on many data sets. The central idea is that maps originating from other data sets are used as a so-called prior map for a given data set. We show that this follows from the optimal FeetSLAM derivation but is more suited to pr...

متن کاملIntegrated Micromechanical Resonant Sensors for Inertial Measurement Systems
Thumbnail-sized inertial measurement systems based on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology have been perceived as a breakthrough in the field of inertial navigation. However, even as micromechanical accelerometers have seen widespread commercialization, vibratory micromechanical gyroscopes have not enjoyed similar success. Previous approaches to high-performance micromechanical gy...
متن کاملMicromachined Fluid Inertial Sensors
Micromachined fluid inertial sensors are an important class of inertial sensors, which mainly includes thermal accelerometers and fluid gyroscopes, which have now been developed since the end of the last century for about 20 years. Compared with conventional silicon or quartz inertial sensors, the fluid inertial sensors use a fluid instead of a solid proof mass as the moving and sensitive eleme...
متن کاملMicromachined Inertial Sensors
Sigma-delta interfaces are attractive for micromachined inertial sensors since they combine the benefits of feedback with analogto-digital conversion at a relatively modest circuit cost [1,2]. In present implementations, however, the Σ∆ feedback carries a significant noise penalty of as much as 20dB over open-loop designs [3]. An analysis of the problem is performed and a solution employing add...
