• A database of 40,153 geography questions, including contestant answers, was compiled over 37 years the popular American television trivia game show Jeopardy! , from 1984-2020. Wealthier, larger, Western countries were more likely to be subjects questions. Questions about peripheral and developing nations relatively less frequent. Although questions infrequent, due scarcity information associated with such places, tended difficult valuable. promotes cultural omnivorousness broad-based knowledge. International hierarchies in complexity representation within reveal that even omnivorous, generalist knowledge systems can exhibit specialism bias.
