Induction of mutagenesis on Chrysanthemums

چکیده
Abstract Crop genetic diversity has a significant role in improving new plants through breeding. The chrysanthemum contains the most mutant varieties, making mutation breeding one of widely utilized procedures for ornamental plants. goal this research is to use gamma irradiation induce variation and improve features. In vitro bud explants white ‘Bacardi’ type were treated with rays at 20 Gy on scope. subcultured until M1V4 growing period occurred, observations made during blooming time. Variable flower head widths, distinction plant heights numerous numbers, color size variations ray florets among mutagenic changes observed flowers. Ray varied length, width, number rows, color. frequency population was estimated 1.1% yellow-colored developed whereas control group remained white. dendrogram grouped into five groups 1, 28, 31, 41 mutants each based height stem shoots flowers per plant, florets’ number- height- color, leaves, leaf length weight flowering stems. located first, second, fourth groups. advantageous mutations could result varieties. Gamma radiation an effective mutagen creating types when applied explants.

15 صفحه اولcAMP-dependent SOS induction and mutagenesis in resting bacterial populations.
The inducible SOS system increases the survival of bacteria exposed to DNA-damaging agents by increasing the capacity of error-free and error-prone DNA repair systems. The inducible mutator effect is expected to contribute to the adaptation of bacterial populations to these adverse life conditions by increasing their genetic variability. The evolutionary impact of the SOS system would be even g...
متن کاملPhylogenetic relationships of chrysanthemums in Korea based on novel SSR markers.
Chrysanthemums are well known for their esthetic and medicinal values. Characterization of chrysanthemums is vital for their conservation and management as well as for understanding their genetic relationships. We found 12 simple sequence repeat markers (SSRs) of 100 designed primers to be polymorphic. These novel SSR markers were used to evaluate 95 accessions of chrysanthemums (3 indigenous a...
