INDONESIAN ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY: DEBATES, CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

The Pancasila Economic Democracy's adoption encountered significant cultural and psychological barriers. Democratic economic models have not yet produced sufficient outcomes. Contrarily, liberal capitalistic democracy is being practiced in this context. This article discusses Democracy as Indonesia’s system. research a library with descriptive approach that collects documentation data from various articles books analyzed it through content analysis. research’s results must balance planning between national decentralization levels implementing activities to reach social justice. In addition, Indonesia can also build more rational foundation of the peculiarities activity so limited religious values but involves cognitive awareness realize ideals stated Preamble UUD 1945. Current capability viewed deficit could become tremendous strength future individuals will be frightened different or taking risks.Keyword: Indonesia; Democracy; Concept Reality Failure.
