Introduction: The patients with Type 2 diabetes Mellitus may often remain asymptomatic for a longer period of time. Indian Diabetes Risk Score (IDRS), simple screening tool prediction undiagnosed diabetes. Objective: Validation IDRS standard test type among urban population Jhalawar, Rajasthan. Material and Methods: A Community based Cross-sectional study was carried out in field practice area Department Medicine, Jhalawar Medical College, conducted using two-stage sampling design. predesigned, pretested proforma (IDRS) sheet used to collect data from the participants. is on four parameters: age, family history diabetes, waist circumference physical inactivity. Data collected World Health Organization stepwise approach surveillance (STEPS). Results: Among 450 participants, 12.7% participants were low risk, 59.1% moderate risk 28.2% high developing according score. score ?60 turned be best cut point identifying sensitivity 92.3% specificity 82.6%. Positive Predictive value Negative 47.3% 98.5% respectively. Conclusion: Association found significant valid early detection Diabetes.
