To produce cultured pearls, a mantle graft with nucleus is transplanted into host pearl oyster, this process called “transplantation”. The immune response of oyster after transplantation major factor that leads to rejection and death. Butyrate histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor which can inhibit the deacetylation histones effectively reduce inflammatory response. clarify function acetylation in transplantation, butyrate (10 mmol/L) was used for treatment oysters before transplantation. Results showed proportion H3 hemocytes significantly increased (BH group) compared control group at 6–24 h.
