Incompleteness: landscapes, cartographies, citizenships

چکیده

Landscapes as dynamic relations between people and worlds are always incomplete. They partial understandings, evolving knowledges, edited images unfinished stories of our designed undesigned environments. Gaps within landscapes can reveal histories omitted individuals silenced, but this open-endedness also provide opportunities to contribute participate. In paper I explore how under construction argue that their incompleteness offers potential for new practices. question, traditions mapping reflect realities landscapes; design representational practices attempt fix time complete space work with incompleteness; designers researchers embrace such open-ended, collective endeavours. paper, discuss a project called ‘Incomplete Cartographies’—an experiment in-progress cartographies, incrementally informed by situated narratives, producing forms belonging.
