چکیده
Objective: Incomplete partition type I is an uncommon congenital anomaly of the inner ear, characterized by typical cystic cochleovestibular appearance. was firstly defined as cochlea and vestibule without large vestibular aqueduct; however, aqueduct and/or enlarged endolymphatic duct could rarely be seen in incomplete anomaly. Correct diagnosis cochlear malformation differentiation necessary for patient management surgical approach. Our aim to document temporal bone imaging findings a series patients with I.
Materials Methods: CT (n=85) MRI (n=80) examinations 99 ears 59 were retrospectively evaluated. All structures otic capsule assessed. The appearances vestibule, aqueduct/endolymphatic duct, semicircular canals qualitatively evaluated experienced neuroradiologist. vertical dimension (from point where arises from vestibule) measured on CT/MRI. Anterior-posterior diameter internal acoustic canal aperture CT. nerves sagittal-oblique high T2-weighted imaging.
Results: had defective unpartitioned basal turn absent interscalar septae, separated but cochlea. all except one. Semicircular usually dysplastic (92.9%). A total 35 (35.3%) duct. Internal wide 21% ears. Cochlear 5.9% nerve either hypoplastic or aplastic about quarter ears.
Conclusion: In up one-third patients, associated /endolymphatic accompanying ear findings. Although are normal majority cases, auditory brainstem implantation may certain cases

In this investigation, we report on 4 patients affected by incomplete partition type I submitted to cochlear implant at our institutions. Preoperative, surgical, mapping and follow-up issues as well as results in cases with this complex malformation are described. The cases reported in the present study confirm that cochlear implantation in patients with incomplete partition type I may be chall...

OBJECTIVE To compare the audiological and radiological findings of patients with incomplete partition malformations (IPs) and analyze the relationship between the audiological and radiological findings. MATERIALS AND METHODS The study included 84 patients (168 ears) with IPs as follows: 26 patients with Type I;IP-I (41 ears), 54 patients with Type II;IP-II (108 ears), and 4 patients with Type...

The Effect of Bone Marrow Graft on Bone Healing: A Radiological and Biomechanical Study
Background: There are multiple methods for acceleration of bone healing. Bone marrow has been shown to contain osteoprogenitor cells. Objective: To determine the effect of percutaneous bone marrow injection on bone healing. Methods: 15 mature, 2-kg-weighing white New Zealand rabbits from both sexes were randomized into 3 groups: Group I: Only osteotomy of right radius was performed and a 5 mm b...
