چکیده

Introduction/Aim: Disease relapse after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is one of the most common and severe post complications represents leading cause treatment failure patient death. The aim this study to assess frequency types relapse, in relation time occurrence; analyze influence conditioning regimens on review therapeutic options occurrence relapse; prognosis patients with relapse. Methods: This retrospective cohort included 58 who underwent (allo-HSCT). Pre-transplantation therapy was performed a reduced-intensity regimen (RIC) or myeloablative (MAC). diagnosis made through myelogram analysis, analysis cytogenetics, minimal residual disease (MRD), cellular chimerism, immunohematological chimerism blood group antigens. A database formed examined characteristics. Patient survival analyzed using Kaplan-Meier method log-rang test. Results: MAC (43 patients) used more frequently than RIC (15 patients), as regimen. After transplantation, 18 (34%) out 53 had choice did not affect but lived longer (38.5 ± 7 months) compared (27.8 3.5 months). However, difference without statistical significance (p = 0.318). median relapsed 26 5 months, while 41 4 months. Conclusion: Patients received time, an increase rate. In future, consideration should be given inclusion older 60 years, candidates for well possible use prophylactic aimed at preventing high-risk patients.

Relationship between Molecular Chimerism and Graft Versus Host Disease after Allogenic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

Background: Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) is considered as a curative therapy for a broad range of diseases. However, complications such as relapse and graft versus host disease (GVHD) may be observed following BMT. Chimerism analysis serves as a reliable indicator of transplant outcome. Complete chimerism refers to the complete replacement of hematopoietic system by donor cells, while mixe...

Background:  Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (allo-HSCT) is used as treatment of choice for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We aimed to evaluate the prognostic factors in 2-year overall survival of patients with non-M3 AML who underwent allogenic HSCT. Methods: This is a Cross sectional retrospective study. Demographic data and study of variables such as age...

Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation for Thalassemia

Thalassemia is an autosomal recessive disorder associated with defective synthesis of the α- or β-chain of hemoglobin. For β-thalassemia major patients, therapeutic options are either monthly red cell transfusions and chelation therapy or allogeneic stem cell transplant. Stem cell transplant is the only curative approach and success is inversely correlated with the degree of iron overload and h...
