“In Water” Fabricated and Recycled Covalent Adaptable Acylhydrazone Thermosets

Abstract Thermosetting resins play an increasingly important role in daily life due to their good mechanical properties. However, they can hardly be recycled and reused, leading severe environmental pollution. A very promising solution this dilemma is develop sustainable thermosets from biomass that reprocessed on demand under environmentally friendly conditions. In study, based dynamic acylhydrazone bonds made acid derivatives reported. The sustainability of the presented covalent adaptable networks (CANs) thermosetting summarized as follows: 1) raw materials are renewable resources; 2) maintain properties, which considerably extend service life; 3) material preparation recycling conducted mixed solvent water/ dimethyl sulfoxide (7/3), excellent reduced use organic solvents. addition, these CANs have performance outstanding heat resistance. thermoset enhance hydrophobicity water resistance thermosets. Taken together, fabricated provide a developing materials.
