In Vitro Growth of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) via Direct Organogenesis

Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is a crop of increasing importance as source seed oil and proteins; nonetheless, the number studies on sunflower tissue culture somewhat limited. The development competent in vitro direct organogenesis protocol involves important basic steps regeneration. In our study, chemically sterilized seeds were planted induction media, 52.54 % germination efficiency was found. While subjected to regeneration containing 2 mg/L cytokinin, Benzyl Adenopurine (BAP) well 1 auxin, Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA); shoot growth observed with41 efficiency. Non-sterilized germinated but showed fungal surface media resulting no plantlet. On other hand, sterile less with little or leading successful Frequent through can contribute enhanced micro-propagation this plant.
