چکیده

Abstract: Background: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), known to be highly resistant bacterium, leading dreadful infections with limited treatment options. Objectives: The current study mainly focused investigate the anti-staphylococcal activity of Ficus benghalensis methanolic bark (FBMB) extract against (MRSA). Materials and Methods: assessment was performed by agar well diffusion method broth dilution method. Further, pathogenic factors such as formation biofilm, hemolysis, adhesion staphyloxanthin production were evaluated confirm antibiofilm anti-adhesion activity. Cytoplasmic leakage analysis also carried out antibacterial extract. Results: From method, it observed that even at low dosage (1.6 mg/ml) showed zone inhibition which is significantly dose dependent manner. 50 mg/ml Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 100 minimum bactericidal (MBC). extracts information hemolytic staphyloxanthin. Oxidative survival resulted in decreased colonies (MRSA) cytoplasmic elevation treatment. silico confirms binding interaction active molecules FBMB extract, Beta-sitosterol, Lupeol Acetate Alpha-amyrin MSCRAMMs family MRSA using AutoDock Vina, Accelrys BIOVIA pyMol tools furthermore these have better pharmacokinetic profile based on Lipinski's rule five violation. Conclusion: can used an drug candidate for antibiotic-resistant infection caused Keywords: MRSA, benghalensis, Bark Anti-biofilm, Anti-virulence, Anti-bacterial, Membrane stability, silico.

Evaluation of methanolic extract of Ficus platyphylla on gastrointestinal activity.

Methanolic extract of Ficus platyphylla was tested on isolated rabbit jejunum, rat duodenum and gastrointestinal motility in mice. The extract showed a biphasic effect on isolated smooth muscle. Lower concentration of extract caused contraction, while higher concentrations produced relaxation. The contractile phase was attenuated by atropine, while relaxant phase attenuated histamine induced co...
