In-Situ Test Method for Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Water Flowing Around Piles

The dynamic characteristics of the flow around pile directly determine distribution law force on pile, which is basis calculation load hydraulic structure. At present, model test and numerical simulation methods are mainly used to study pile. There problems scale effect accuracy in laboratory test, inherent method, such as determination medium parameters, mesh division, boundary conditions. Therefore, research results cannot reflect actual situation interaction between water This paper developed a field system for measuring hydrodynamic pressures surface piles vital foundations wharves under superhigh Reynolds number. And analysis in-situ data, can realize multifunction including calibration transformation frequency time-domain statistical process, were put forward according theory stationary random process mathematical statistics method. A representative frame wharf located upper reaches Yangtze River was performed case study, utilized operate this practice. Application showed that be applied obtain more accurate pressure. drag coefficient ranged from 0.30 0.40. These findings may provide significant technical support similar structures some reference engineering design.
