Impulsive Buying Tendecy: The Role of Cognitive Factors, Personality Traits and Affect

Impulsive buying is considered to be an emotional and unplanned decision-making behaviour. Because this type of purchasing rate has fairly increased in recent years, examining the determinants impulsive important understand which intervention programs should designed. In current study, it was aimed develop a model tendency predicted by variables such as personality traits, affect cognitive factors (problem solving skills flexibility). Overall, 300 young adults (198 female 102 male), took part study. The mean age participants for study 21.29 years (SD=2.95). tendency, affect, problem flexibility were measured via Consumer Buying Impulsivity Scale (CBI), Behavioural Inhibition/Activation System Scales (BIS/BAS), Positive Negative Affect (PANAS), Problem Solving Inventory (PSI) Cognitive Flexibility (CFI), respectively. results indicated that traits behavioral activation system (reward system) could determinant when examined together with other variables. sum, high reward responsiveness may result buying.
