Abstract: This study presents research about improving students’ speaking skill through active debate of the twelfth grade. Speaking is one four elements in english and it can improve for students. Active methods to increase because dominant practice fluently. aimed describe using learning model identify how much improvement after being taught by model. The methodology this a classroom action which consisted 2 cycles. subject tewltfh grade at SMK S Al-Bukhary 21 researcher collected source data related from observation test was conducted every cycle. used intrument obervation checklist, test, documentation. Based on data, information gap proved effective both skills process English speaking. detailed results were as follows: Cycle 1 percentage aspect 54,34% average value 54,38.
