Improving Power Quality by DSTATCOM Based DQ Theory with Soft Computing Techniques

The development of non-linear loads at consumers has significantly impacted power supply systems. Since, the poor quality been found in three-phase distribution system due to unbalanced loads, harmonic current, undesired voltage regulation, and extreme reactive demand. To overcome this issue, Distributed STATicCOMpensator (DSTATCOM) is implemented. DSTATCOM a shunt-connected Voltage Source Converter (VSC) that utilized networks balance bus terms enhancing control factor. can provide both rapid continuous capacitive inductive mode compensation. A rectified resistive load eliminates current harmonics supply. synchronous fundamental DQ frame time-domain approach developed from space vector transformations designed using MATLAB/Simulink. theory used produce reference signal for Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) generator. In addition, traditional Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller compared with proposed soft computing approaches such as Fuzzy–PID Artificial Neural Network (ANN-PID) accurate determination Direct Current (DC) through DC link. An Analytical explores strategies given establish superior outcomes. Finally, total distortion analysis should be taken performance IEEE standards.
