چکیده
In the context of more electrical aircraft, electromechanical de-icing systems provide a low-energy solution to protect aircraft’s surfaces from ice buildup. Such produce deformation protected surface leading stress production within and, ultimately, shedding thanks fracture. However, these may show limitations when it comes completely given surface. Ice delamination is often restricted part and remaining either requires energy be removed or just impossible remove. this paper, topology optimization substrate covered by thus investigated increase fracture propagation shedding. For that purpose, an problem, involving release rate but also mass stress, formulated. The numerical results how efficiency mechanical based protection can improved through modification substrate.

Improving Multiyear Sea Ice Concentration Estimates with Sea Ice Drift
Multiyear ice (MYI) concentration can be retrieved from passive or active microwave remote sensing observations. One of the algorithms that combines both observations is the Environmental Canada Ice Concentration Extractor (ECICE). However, factors such as ridging, snow wetness and metamorphism can cause significant changes in brightness temperature and backscatter, leading to misidentification...
متن کاملStructural Topology Optimization with Eigenvalues
The paper considers different problem formulations of topology optimization of discrete or discretized structures with eigenvalues as constraints or as objective functions. We study multiple load case formulations of minimum weight, minimum compliance problems and of the problem of maximizing the minimal eigenvalue of the structure including the effect of non-structural mass. The paper discusse...
متن کاملDamping optimization in mechanical systems with external force
We consider a mechanical system excited by an external force. Model of such a system is described by the system of ordinary differential equations: Mẍ(t) + D(v)ẋ(t) + Kx(t) = f̂(t), where matrices M,K (mass and stiffness) are positive definite and the vector f̂ corresponds to an external force. The damping matrix D(v) is a positive semidefinite matrix which depends on damping positions and parame...
متن کاملDynamics of Non-ideal Topology Transitions in Multibody Mechanical Systems
Mechanical systems with time-varying topology appear frequently in various applications. In this paper, topology changes that can be modeled by means of bilateral impulsive constraints are analyzed. We present a concept to project kinematic and kinetic quantities to two mutually orthogonal subspaces of the tangent space of the mechanical system. This can be used to obtain decoupled formulations...
متن کاملImproving Solutions to the Truss Topology Design Problem with Alternating Convex Optimization
In the design of a mechanical structure, we’re interested in finding a general layout of the structure’s supporting frame that best supports some anticipated design loads. Often, the design of such supporting frames are addressed in ad-hoc ways, such as by complicated domain-specific heuristics [TTG05, DG01]. Our project targets the problem of designing a truss–a collection of bars rigidly atta...
