Improving Grain Zinc Concentration in Wetland and Upland Rice Varieties Grown under Waterlogged and Well-Drained Soils by Applying Zinc Fertilizer

چکیده

The objective of this study was to evaluate the responses in grain yield and zinc concentration wetland upland rice varieties Zn fertilizer application different growing conditions. (Chainat 1; CNT1) (Kum Hom CMU; KH CMU) were grown under waterlogged well-drained soil conditions with or without application. Zinc (ZnSO4) applied at 0 60 kg ha−1 three stages tillering, booting, flowering. In variety, CNT1, decreased by 18.0% compared conditions, but there an 8.9% decrease CMU. Applying affected yields differently between varieties, decreasing 11.9% CNT1 while having no effect For concentrations brown rice, applying increased 16.5–23.1% CMU both soil, straw 51.6% 43.4% These results indicated that responded when appropriate variety would help farmers improve desirable rice.

Interactive Effects of Cadmium and Zinc Application on Their Uptake by Rice Under Waterlogged and Non-waterlogged Conditions

In order to investigate the effect of Cd and Zn on uptake, concentration and the translocation factor of the Cd and Zn in the rice plant, a factorial experiment was conducted with four factors including two rice cultivars of Vandana and Hashemi, two waterlogged and non-waterlogged conditions and three levels of Zn and Cd (0, 5 and 10 mg kg-1 soil). The experiment was carried out in a randomized...

Zinc Fertilization of Rice Grown on Clay Soils in Arkansas

Zinc (Zn) fertilizer is not currently recommended for rice grown on clay or clay loam soils in Arkansas. In 2003, eight field sites were established to evaluate the response of rice grown on clay soils to Zn fertilization. Shortly before or after seeding, granular Zn fertilizer was applied to the soil surface at rates of 0, 5, 10, and 20 lb Zn/acre. Tissue Zn concentration 10 to 14 days after f...

Improving soybean leaf physiological responses under drought stress by increasing seed zinc and iron concentration

To study the effects of both drought stress and seed zinc and iron concentrations on the photosynthesis, chlorophyll fluorescence, and proline and carbohydrate accumulations in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr. cv. M9) leaf, a split plot experiment was carried out in 2012 based on a randomized complete block design with three replications in greenhouse conditions at Yasouj University. Drought str...

Preceding crop affects grain cadmium and zinc of wheat grown in saline soils of central Iran.

Enhanced Cd concentrations in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grain produced on saline soils of central Iran have been recently reported. Because wheat bread is a major dietary component for the Iranian people, practical approaches to decrease Cd concentration in wheat grain were investigated. This study investigated the influence of sunflower-wheat vs. cotton-wheat rotations on extractable Cd and...
