Guizotia abyssinica (L.F.) Cass. is one of the important oilseed crops cultivated in India. The seed plant used by tribal and rural people our country as a source edible oil. present investigation Niger deals with study back cross-program improvement variety. Unknown local variety (A) niger was selected non-recurrent parent because having some desirable characters like less vegetative growth (dwarf), resistance to waterlogged condition, large grains while IGP-76 (B) recurrent female small black grains, resistant leaf-eating cater Piller powdery mildew result shows successfully transfer F1 generation. average number capitulum/plant very good positive results well BC1 As compared an capitulum per increased generation 14.28% 28.5%. table indicates that there incensement seeds capitulum. 8.3% 11.11 % parent. Average weights 1000 were also 31.78% 47.28% along total yield plant.
