Dynamic Programming Search for Continuous Speech Recognition
Initially introduced in the late 1960s and early 1970s, dynamic programming algorithms have become increasingly popular in automatic speech recognition. There are two reasons why this has occurred: First, the dynamic programming strategy can be combined with a very e cient and practical pruning strategy so that very large search spaces can be handled. Second, the dynamic programming strategy ha...
متن کاملImprovement Tracking Dynamic Programming using Replication Function for Continuous Sign Language Recognition
In this paper we used a Replication Function (R. F.) for improvement tracking with dynamic programming. The R. F. transforms values of gray level [0 255] to [0 1]. The resulting images of R. F. are more striking and visible in skin regions. The R. F. improves Dynamic Programming (D. P.) in overlapping hand and face. Results show that Tracking Error Rate 11% and Average Tracked Distance 7% reduced.
متن کاملLinear Programming for Matching in Human Body Gesture Recognition
We present a novel human body gesture recognition method using a linear programming based matching scheme. Instead of attempting to segment an object from the background, we develop a novel successive convexification linear programming method to locate the target by searching for the best matching region based on a graph template. The linear programming based matching scheme generates relativel...
متن کاملHuman Computer Interaction Using Vision-Based Hand Gesture Recognition
With the rapid emergence of 3D applications and virtual environments in computer systems; the need for a new type of interaction device arises. This is because the traditional devices such as mouse, keyboard, and joystick become inefficient and cumbersome within these virtual environments. In other words, evolution of user interfaces shapes the change in the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). In...
