Importance of Teaching Ergonomics in Dental School Education

Aims: The aim of this study was to present the prevalence musculoskeletal symptoms in dental students and their ergonomics knowledge, challenges implementation school curriculum, teaching courses.
 Methodology: This manuscript supported by scientific evidence found literature obtained from Science Direct, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), National Medicine (MEDLINE) databases, as well authors’ experience education research studies.
 Results: Most have reported pain neck, lower back, shoulders. Although experienced symptoms, they a limited perception work risk factors due lack while school. its incorporation could be addressed through curricular revisions.
 Conclusion: Implementation curriculum at beginning preclinical training reinforcement later clinical practice can prevent disorders students. Curricular revision needs accompanied epidemiologic studies, faculty development, timely evaluation order customize educational programs identify areas success those needing improvement.
