چکیده
The recast of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) provides an enabling framework for “Renewable Communities” (RECs) that is being transposed into law by 27 European Union Member States June 2021. RECs are majority owned local members or shareholders who authorized to share energy within community, offering potential unlock private investment and financing renewable sources provide social benefits. However, successful implementation a just transition requires coupling technological solutions with more open decision making, based on sound analysis, knowledge engineering, spatial planning, science. We argue ownership models address complementarity, organization resource potential, demographics, pushback from incumbents, inclusion traditionally marginalized groups, common issues across all crucial transposition RED II transition. This paper highlights benefits challenges widespread development RECs, using examples pending process policy advice effective respect RECs. • Rules communities in EU. can contribute democratic There EU member states. Energy Allocation Policy for Cellular Networks Powered by Renewable Energy
The explosive wireless data service requirement accompanied with carbon dioxide emission and consumption of traditional energy has put pressure on both industry and academia. Wireless networks powered with the uneven and intermittent generated renewable energy have been widely researched and lead to a new research paradigm called green communication. In this paper, we comprehensively consider t...
متن کاملAlternative renewable energy scenarios for New York
This case study compares the cost of maintaining a proposed subsidy for New York’s three upstate nuclear power plants (Fitzpatrick, Nine Mile Point Unit 1, and Ginna) with the cost of replacing the plants with renewable technologies over the time period from 2016 to 2050. Three alternative renewable scenarios are compared with two nuclear scenarios in terms of overall system costs, which compri...
متن کاملUK Renewable Energy Policy since Privatisation
The aim of this paper is to look at the UK’s renewable energy policy in the context of its overall decarbonisation and energy policies. This will allow us to explore the precise nature of the ‘failure’ of UK renewables policy and to suggest policy changes which might be appropriate in light of the UK’s institutional and resource endowments. Our focus is on the electricity sector both in terms o...
