Implementation and Obstacle of Reward and Punishment at Pesantren Al-Azhar-Gresik

This paper is a case study that aims to take closer look at how punishments and rewards are implemented the Al-Azhar Islamic Boarding School what obstacles in both male female dormitories. The data obtained through observation in-depth interviews. found boarding schools have four categories of rules if violated, perpetrators will be sanctioned, namely ritual, cleanliness, behavior, security. form punishment graded ranging from verbal reprimand being fired pesantren or even formal school.
